Hi there,
My name is Tabitha. I will be 39 this month. I am 5' 5" & currently at 133 lbs. My husband & I are participating in the current 12 wk Transformation contest.
I have been active & nutrition conscious must of my adult life. Having three babies (all 9 lbs 5oz) & other life circumstances caused me to have setbacks from time to time & gain weight. I've always been able to get the weight off. But never with the results I am having withTT!
After the birth of my last daughter I did get back down to my pre-pg size. However, my body was just not the same even though I weighed the same. My husband encouraged me to lift weights. I didn't really like the idea of that too much but did some very light weight lifting along with my usual cardio. Needless to say, I never got anywhere.
He started TT before me. The name alone scared me. lol It just sounded too intense for me. He was really loving it & eventually I decided to jump on board. I also loved it from the start! The workouts were fun to me & I began to look forward to them. One of my favorites was the Big 5! I really liked the way the workouts changed every 4 wks. I never got bored or dreaded the workouts. The interval training was brand new to me & I loved it as well. I started losing weight right away & feeling so much firmer.
I thought I knew a lot about nutrition but I have learned so much from the TT lifestyle! It feels like a constant journey because I'm learning more all the time. I love the encouraging e-mails from Craig & some days they were exactly what I needed to hear at that precise moment. I was stuck at 137lbs for about 2mnths & really focusing on my nutrition & continuing the TT workouts helped me drop down to 133lbs in about a month. I was thrilled!
I had a goal in Feb to get down to 140lbs & what I called a "dream" goal to get down to 135lbs. Now that I've passed my "dream" goal I have to figure out what my next goal is. I joined the TT Transformation contest to find out what I am capable of because at this point I honestly don't know. I have specific body goals. I want the last bit of "baby jelly" gone from my stomach. I want the underarm "jiggle" gone!!! I want to be firm, lean & strong. I do NOT want to be skinny fat! I don't have a weight goal. I have a body image goal.
TT has taught me to push myself harder than I thought I could. When I started I could not do one regular pushup. I am happy to say that I can do 20 now. I want to do my first chin up now!
TT has taken me beyond where I thought I could go & I can't wait to see where it will take me!
