What I do for fun!

I'm the one on the far right.

As you can see, I run. These are a few photos taken of me at local 5K's I ran in this summer.

I don't use running as a method of fat loss. I run because I enjoy it. I use TT for fat loss & strength. Running is just the icing on the cake for me. I run to keep active & have an overall feeling of fitness. It's become a social outlet for me as well. I run with friends & every Sat morning I run with a group of ladies. And it's fun at the races to see friends & people you know & feel like you are part of something.

It does not interfere with my TT workouts. I do my TT workouts on Mon, Wed, Fri & run Tues, Thurs & Sat. Sunday I take a complete day of rest. :)

In the summer I was running with a group with a coach & we were working on speed. So, I used my speed workouts as my intervals for my TT workouts. This month I'm working on endurance & not speed so I'm running further at a slower pace. I've been doing jumping jacks & burpees as my intervals with my TT workouts this month so that I do not overdo the running.

Running really is something that I've come to love, look forward to & has become a hobby of sorts for me.

Pumped this morning!

What a great morning! Two weeks into the TT transformation contest & I'm seeing results!

I measured myself this morning & was very pleased.

I weighed in at 131.2 this morning. That's 2 lbs down.

My mesurements were:

Chest- 33" (no change)

Upper abs 28 3/4" (1/4" lost)

Waist (belly button) 30" ( 1 & 1/4" lost! Woo hoo..burning that belly fat!)

Hips 33 1/2" (1" lost)

Thigh 20 3/4" (no change)

Bicep/arm- 11" (1/2" lost)

I'm very happy with the overall results! Funny how there was no loss on my thighs. Why do us women have to be cursed with the dreaded "thunder thighs?" LOL But no worry, I know that I will see the numbers come down on my thighs!

I've had a great couple weeks into this contest. I've been eating clean & adding more weight to my workouts.

I'll post a few days of my meals & my workouts soon!

Here's to seeing how far we can go with TT! Have a wonderful Sunday!

My Turbulance Training Story

Hi there,

My name is Tabitha. I will be 39 this month. I am 5' 5" & currently at 133 lbs. My husband & I are participating in the current 12 wk Transformation contest.

I have been active & nutrition conscious must of my adult life. Having three babies (all 9 lbs 5oz) & other life circumstances caused me to have setbacks from time to time & gain weight. I've always been able to get the weight off. But never with the results I am having withTT!

After the birth of my last daughter I did get back down to my pre-pg size. However, my body was just not the same even though I weighed the same. My husband encouraged me to lift weights. I didn't really like the idea of that too much but did some very light weight lifting along with my usual cardio. Needless to say, I never got anywhere.

He started TT before me. The name alone scared me. lol It just sounded too intense for me. He was really loving it & eventually I decided to jump on board. I also loved it from the start! The workouts were fun to me & I began to look forward to them. One of my favorites was the Big 5! I really liked the way the workouts changed every 4 wks. I never got bored or dreaded the workouts. The interval training was brand new to me & I loved it as well. I started losing weight right away & feeling so much firmer.

I thought I knew a lot about nutrition but I have learned so much from the TT lifestyle! It feels like a constant journey because I'm learning more all the time. I love the encouraging e-mails from Craig & some days they were exactly what I needed to hear at that precise moment. I was stuck at 137lbs for about 2mnths & really focusing on my nutrition & continuing the TT workouts helped me drop down to 133lbs in about a month. I was thrilled!

I had a goal in Feb to get down to 140lbs & what I called a "dream" goal to get down to 135lbs. Now that I've passed my "dream" goal I have to figure out what my next goal is. I joined the TT Transformation contest to find out what I am capable of because at this point I honestly don't know. I have specific body goals. I want the last bit of "baby jelly" gone from my stomach. I want the underarm "jiggle" gone!!! I want to be firm, lean & strong. I do NOT want to be skinny fat! I don't have a weight goal. I have a body image goal.

TT has taught me to push myself harder than I thought I could. When I started I could not do one regular pushup. I am happy to say that I can do 20 now. I want to do my first chin up now!

TT has taken me beyond where I thought I could go & I can't wait to see where it will take me!
